Following up to his 2020-released debut instalment, “Potara Supermixtape”, French artist Charles Prieur alias Lolito turns up on TEMET with his anticipated sophomore album, “Memory File Hosting”. Across eleven cuts running the gamut from emo-infused downtempo to ethereal pop tropes, via baroque synths and further left-of-centre electronics, Lolito eases us into his nostalgic headspace, omnidirectionally nodding to UK bass, post-trance, instrumental hip-hop and proto-futuristic abstraction on his journey towards greater expanses. Toasting to the impermanence of things, “Memory File Hosting” is a sonic UFO in its own right.
